We build gear designed to be used in the rugged Australian bush, and we stand by the quality of our manufacturing. However, we also expect our gear to be used correctly.

Your rights under Australian Consumer Law

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

The warranty below is in addition to those rights, not instead of them.

24-Month Manufacturing Warranty

All Terra-target aluminium kits come with a 24-month warranty against manufacturing defects. If your spikes arrive with faulty machining, structural defects, or fail under normal, intended use within 24 months of delivery, we will replace them free of charge, and we cover the cost of returning a faulty item to us.

What is NOT Covered: Because this is a field product designed to be hammered into the dirt and exposed to the elements, our warranty does not cover:

  • Ballistic Damage: The spikes are made of ultralight aluminium for portability, not AR500 ballistic steel. If you shoot the spikes, they will break. Bullet strikes, shrapnel damage, or spalling are not covered.

  • Force Damage: While durable, aluminium has its limits. Bending, breaking, or snapping the spikes by hammering them into solid rock, buried tree roots, concrete, or using excessive force with a heavy mallet is considered user error.

  • Cosmetic Wear and Tear: Scratches, scuffs, mud stains, or fading of the aluminium finish from normal field use.

  • Loss or Neglect: Leaving the spikes out in the bush or running them over with your ute.

Returns & Exchanges

If you receive your Terra-Target kit and decide it’s not for you before using it, you can return it within 14 days of delivery for a full refund of the purchase price (excluding shipping costs).

  • The product must be unused, un-hammered, and in its original condition. If the spikes show dirt, hammer marks, or scratches indicating they have been deployed in the field, we cannot accept a change-of-mind return.

  • For a change-of-mind return, the buyer is responsible for return shipping costs. We recommend using a trackable AusPost service, as we cannot be responsible for returns lost in transit.

How to Start a Claim: If you believe you have a valid warranty claim or wish to process an unused return, email us at support@terra-target.com.au with your order number, a brief description of the issue, and clear photos of the product. We will review it and get it sorted out fast.
